Yaegaki Group is a Japanese company that began as a sake brewery in Himeji, Hyogo Prefecture, and now works across fermentation and biotechnology. Its operating companies produce brewed and distilled spirits such as sake, shochu and spirits, along with fermented foods and food machinery, and its biotechnology arm develops functional food ingredients and food colorants. The group also runs a US subsidiary that makes sake from California-grown rice and a health-care brand.
